Anyone else constantly hounded by life when it comes to their training? I've had the roughest 6 weeks. It seems like there is always some physical, emotional, or mental stress that happens right as I start to see results and it just gets on my nerves. I tried to lightly get back into physical exercise by starting to jog. After a week I felt worse than before I started. I'm back to the weights today, Obstacles be damned...

I"ve had life happen to other things which than effects my training. As far as life goes my parents have been in town making the gym hard to get to.
Than after they left my truck broke down, the AC broke and a toilet over flooded leaking on the people down stairs of my rental unit.
I try not to think negatively but stuff seems to happen in 3s. I'm not superstitious though, I don't believe in that stuff.
Ya life happens. Keep at it man. It's part of the game. If it were easy everyone would be super strong, jacked and ripped. If it was really easy it wouldn't be worth accomplishing either.

set backs are part of life my friend
3 years ago I was on active duty, had my own place and a full time job
these days, I had to move back into my parents house(been out for 7 years before that) and struggling to build an online company and a in person strength coaching business. semper gumby is the name of the game, stay flexible and roll with the punches.
Dave Tate is quoted from his book saying that everytime he thought the end was near, something always happened to keep him moving until the next obstical. If a bill was about to be deliquent, a machine would sell and he could pay it off until next month and so on. Just keep the faith and put in the hustle and things will pan out for you, sooner or later.

Donnie and Westy,
Faith is what keeps me going. I know there is time that I'm not going to be able to get to my workouts. Life happens, right?! But I also know that I am supposed to be strong and show it to the world as an expression of my faith and to Glorify my God. It just ALWAYS seems like it happens when I've solidified my commitment to the weights. Something happens that keeps me away for weeks, not days. But, setbacks be damned, I get back and I hit it like I never stopped. That jacks me up. I've been sore from squats for three days now. I used the weights I used on my last workout. Not the most intelligent choice, but I wanted to feel the difference between working out with this weight while training and working out with this weight after a lay off. After a lay off sucks, just so you know.
Today was bench and it sucked too. But my prayer is that I stay committed, and stay faithful to my goals.
It's a struggle. But I know I'll win eventually. I got a bench "contest" in 6 weeks at a MayDay festival. My goal is 300 Raw comp style. With God's grace I'll do it. For me. Nobody else.

When life seems to happen when we don't expect it, I just try to stay optimistic and positive. Its should also be the driving force for you to move on, knowing that you can do better. Good luck to us! Abilene Dentists | Dentist Waco
