This old favorite is an excellent all around conditioning exercise. It tones the legs, abdominals and arms and is a fantastic aerobic conditioning exercise.

To perform this exercise, stand with your feet about six inches apart. Start running in place lifting your knees as high up as you can while simultaneously pumping your arms up and down with your elbows bent.
