I started to put some isometric exercises into my workout and man do they work. I stopped lifting weights for a few weeks just to see if I could get some muscle soreness after isometric exercises and I sure did. My lats today feel like I gave them a huge work out and all I do was laid flat against the wall, put my arms up as if I was gonna do a lat pull and push against the wall.

Sometimes when you are not up for weights, these exercises are good to still hold your muscles for 30 seconds in various forms like push up, plank, prayer press and other holds. There's breaks in between. When you want less hassle but still impact, then these are the exercises to go for.

Intensity with little noticible, outward movement. Muscles like it!
