Shelly Yakimchuk Pics Hi there! I am a fun, happy go lucky type of person-- the way I figure it, life is too short to be miserable so don't worry--be happy--ha ha!! I currently live in a small city in Saskatchewan, Canada with my husband Chris and two sons Jesse and Justin.

We run our own personal training business in "Yak's Gym" - specializing in training and diet programs for competition. We are also running the Saskatchewan Amatuer Bodybuilding Association www.sabba.net

I started weight training in 1995 and decided to compete after watching my husbands first show in 1996. That show was what completely motivated me to get on the track that I am today. I really want to send out a huge thank-you to my husband for all his support and motivation the past few years. He has always been encouraging to me.

I train 4-5 days per week, and eat 5 times per day--that pretty much stays the same year round except I add in cardio for contest training, and of course clean up my diet for contest prep.
