BioNutritional Research Group, Inc. (BNRG) formulates and distributes engineered foods and nutritional supplements. All Company business activities are governed by a singular focus: To make available to consumers products which have clearly demonstrated the ability to significantly enhance the health and performance aspects of human physiology. BNRG believes that, when optimally directed, the core issues involved in this pursuit, a strong immune system, efficient food metabolism and rich daily supplies of proper macro and micro nutrients measurably extend and enrich the life experience. BNRG began formulation work on the initial offering of products, the Prescription One line in June of 1991. The process completed and the products became available to retailers in February of 1997. New products are always "in process" and existing products are enhanced as the data becomes available.
The Process
BNRG engineers product formulas according to the needs dictated by human physiology and the actual methods of absorption unique to each class of nutrient. We employ ingredients based solely on nutritional value and purpose of the product, never on "packing up label content" or padding profits. This is quite a different process than simply copying another product's label values "because it sells" or taking research data out of context and putting it into a tablet or powder for sale while citing some exciting "new research" that may have no relevance to human metabolism.
The BNRG product formulation process starts with a review of all relevant clinical and empirical data on the particular area of physiology the potential product seeks to address. This review brings together all known and substantially theorized data on the bodily function and nutrients that cause a maximal response. This involves reviewing not just the reference materials and findings of actual studies, but the methods and preparation that were used in the studies. The importance of this cannot be overstated.
Most clinical research involves animal testing or injection and other non-oral methods of nutrient introduction. These factors must be reviewed to determine the relevance of the information. Virtually all nutritional supplements are consumed orally, requiring the product to pass through all or part of the human digestive tract in order to deliver any potential nutritional benefit. The method of absorption is the first and most critical issue to overcome in designing any nutritional product. If this first step is not completed, the resulting product is nothing more than a common wager using consumer dollars.
Once the initial product formula is structured from this process, field studies are conducted to determine the efficacy of the product. BNRG is the only company employing this complete process as a standard in its research and development methodology.
